Catapults

For maths we have been learning about measurement. For our measurement maths unit we made catapults out of wood, nails, spoons and rubber bands. Mr B cut up the wood and then we chose a piece for our catapults. We measured the perimeter of the wood and measured how far we wanted our nails to be in from the side. A couple of days later we made our catapults and then on Friday and Monday we tested our catapults.
Perimeter=56cm
Width=15cm
Length=25.5cm
This is the graph that I made to show how far the things flew.
On the fourth go the blue bead flew that farthest. It went 10 meters and 90 centimeters The farthest that the yellow bead flew was 7 meter. The stones farthest was 60 centimeters and the twigs farthest was 1 meter. We made these catapults to burn down Hillary but in the end we didn't do that.
